Indo Activated Carbon / About this site
About this site
A reading guide for activated carbon grade sheets, kept by a company that supplies coconut shell charcoal, not finished carbon.
Who stands behind the guide
Indo Activated Carbon is published by PT Kora Prima Abadi in Bogor, Indonesia, the company behind Kora Coconut. Kora makes coconut shell charcoal and charcoal powder. It does not make or sell activated carbon, and this site never offers it.
The guide exists for a plain reason. People who activate charcoal and people who buy the result read the same grade sheets, and those sheets are hard to read the first time.
What the guide covers
The glossary explains grade terms one at a time, from iodine number to ash, with the test standard each usually points to. Longer notes sit on the blog. If you read only one, start with iodine number explained.
The products page holds two reading aids: a grade sheet reading card and a data request sheet you can send to any charcoal supplier.
What it deliberately does not claim
No page here gives a specification, price, capacity or certificate for a Kora product, because none has been published. Kora has no lab results yet for its charcoal or for any activation partner, and the pages say so where it matters.
Producers and standards bodies named in the glossary are sources. Their trade names belong to them, and naming one is not an endorsement.
Where the figures come from
Reference ranges and method numbers come from supplier pages, trade press and standards listings read on 2026-10-20. Each carries a status: verified when the source was opened, research when it was read through a summary, unavailable when nothing exists. Where Kora has no evidence for a number, the answer is ask sales, not a guess.
Reaching Kora, and what to send
If you make activated carbon and want shell charcoal or powder as feedstock, open the feedstock inquiry or the contact page. Tell us your end use (gold, water, air), the lump size or powder mesh, steam or chemical activation, monthly volume and destination port.
You can also write on WhatsApp +62 813-1527-280 or to [email protected]. The first reply comes within 2 business days, in English or Indonesian. To see what is on offer first, read the shell charcoal page.
